Introduction

In order to promote an adequate use of development aid, Equilibres & Populations set for itself several missions:

Advocacy. This is the main work of Equilibres & Populations. With our political, scientific, journalistic and field partners, we are devoted to convincing financial investors to spend more – and more adequately.

Communication. That is, to give information to the policymakers and stakeholders of development on the issues we believe are prioritary, and to put the emphasis on the good practices we have identified so that they may take inspiration from them.

Promoting the value of science. To prove the efficiency of an action, it is essential that one can be backed by solid arguments. This is why we promote approaches that involve a scientific method, from their inception to their evaluation.

Technical and institutional support. The civil society of the South can play a very important role in the development of countries. Equilibres & Populations strives to improve the abilities of the Southern civil society organizations for them to become actual stakeholders.
